  1. IMO, do consider NOT having different type of clownfish mix together in a small tank, this induce stress to both fishes. Clownfish are territoral, in the wild they will not wonder more than 1 meter from their host(house). So chances of meeting another type is rare, even if they meet, they can always "Siam". But not in your tank Of cos there are people who are successful in keeping different type together without any problem, but some how or rather they will still chase each another, maybe not now, but...
  2. SE bulb uses E40 aka Mogul socket.....sama sama
  3. First of all i need some info. 1. How much LR do you have? 2. What's your bio load now? 3. How long have you use your canister? I assume you want a refugium in your sump? You don't need to cycle your sump, but be prepare to have PL or T5 for growing of macro algae in refugium. Before you do the switch, pls provide the above info.

  6. Hi Ervine, What kind your lighting did you use ? I'm in the mist of cycing my tank, was thinking of using a 36W 12K and 18W actinic for my setup.
  7. I may be wrong....... Last time when I use 10K PL tube over my tank I always got cyno and diatom all over my sand bed. Ever since i switch to 14K MH, the cyno is gone, though diatom exist, but minimum. Can I conclude that higher color temperature prevent cyno growth? Or is it bcos of MH that do the wonders?
  8. No, not even nets. Cash only
  9. Found this website quite interesting and informative. 250W MH comparison
  10. I would suggest that you go with T5 or PL, if chiller is not in your purchase list. MH will heat up your tank very fast. Even with T5 or PL. A fan has to be there to blow at the tank's water surface, so as to keep the temp down thru evaporation. But remember, lighting is only part of the equation. Keeping quality water parameter is another part of it too
