Hi arcanehacker, I think the best place to get different pipefish is from Reborn. Sometimes, pac marine do come in some nice pipes like multi banded pipefish. Go to Paradiz Reef, they have very good supplier. Reefworld dun have them now due to monsoon season. U will be able to find more after the monsoon. I am now waiting to get more blue-strip pipefishes. Click on "My Seahorse tank" below, u will see my blue strip on the second page of the thread. I still see ard 4 pieces of banded pipefish & 1 janss pipefish at Reborn last wk. I think u guys can avoid the trip dwn to landscaping nursary beside the heartland mall. Years ago, when my friend & I got it from there, its already their last piece or issit second last. The uncle told me that they are not bringing in anymore stock cos it took them yrs to sell it. He is very happy that we spotted & buying it even though its covered with dust. It is also smaller than 1408. But performance wise shouldn't be much different. Maybe u can use a smaller pump for it. Wei

Hi Clownfish, well, sea dragons are only solded to public aquarium only. A small number of them can only be collected from the wild per year. Better still, there are less than 5 licenced collector in Australia. If I am offered one, I will get it. Then can forget abt keeping reef. hahaha That will be the ultimate one!! I will name it NEO too!! Female will be called Trinity!! Its not a matter of paying, its a matter of getting hold of one even you got the money. By the way, it is illegal to keep one at home aquarium as they need huge tank!!!! Cheers! Wei

Hi marinehobbist, I think u post at the wrong forum. try posting it at seahorse forum. Brine shrimp are not nutritious enough for the seahorse. Next, it is quite dirty & u may introduce disease or parsite to the seahorses. Try getting small freshwater feeder shrimps & gut load them with cyclopeeze. Yr seahorse will go crazy chasing it. Hi Fuel, u can feed them with newly hatched artemia enrich with selcon. Other than that, u can also use rotifer which u can easily obtain from watercircle & I bet u know the place. Do note to put an airline to provide gentle flow & oxygen. Regular water changes is also needed. Hope it helps. Wei

Hi HwdQ, I personally think that this is a very gd deal. This model can skim up to 850L tank. Enough for a 4ft. It is also more efficent than AquaC. Since u are new, its better to get a gd one. Somemore the resale value of H&S is gd in case u upgrading in the future. A new one will cost u ard $850. Wei

hmmm...pple pay a premium to get live rocks that comes with the critters. It helps to seed the sand. FOr the worms,pods, etc, they play a major role of swifting the sand below, preventing sand from clumping & move the N2 up from below. I would only remove the crabs and mantis only. Guess pple nowadays are flushing the money out into the bowl!!! Still its better than pouring hot water onto the rocks!!! Wei

Hi Fub, its a resun. same power consumption as an iwaki md-55. I find 130W is quite reasonable. A 1262 is 65W. But u won't get the same amt of flow with it due to Head lost. Even with a 1264. Wei
