  2. Got...Pasir Ris farm lor...any sizes all selling $1...
  3. Or you can go Sim Lim Tower...they sell variety sizes of AC/DC fans...PLUS switches/Power Supply Units
  4. Hmmm...have u read the introductory guide written by bawater?? I thought crushed corals are not recommended as substrate... Follow this thread for this informative guide... http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2032
  5. Sorry...juz wondering...your photo makes me think that ur seabed consists of only coral chips...it it so???
  6. If I didn't hear wrong, I think it's selling @ $360. However, I think IceProbe need a temperature controller which cost around US$60...so wondering if this is included in the $360...
  7. I think it's actually good that SRC also sell its t-shirt to public...so that it creates awareness of this forum and hopefully bring more pple to join as members and this will definitely help to educate more pple into better reefing. On the other hand, AT can use the $$$ earned from selling the shirts to subsidize his site... So generally it's a Win-Win situation for SRC...
  8. Saw ML selling IceProbe by CoolWorks (USA) today...wondering if this product ever works efficiently on small aquariums... Anyone used it b4? Any comments? BTW, if u r wondering wat's IceProbe...check out the website @ http://www.coolworksinc.com/iceprobe.htm Note the comment on the site stating "Capable of cooling 10 gallons of water more than 20°F under ambient temperature in an insulated container..." - How does it cool even a 2ft tank in Singapore's climate?
  9. Try Pasir Ris farm...visit this particular Arw*n* marine farm...they bring in stock on every wednesday afternoon/evening...so best time to go is on Thursday...got lots of small, nice looking anemone...can always bargain price with them...
  10. Thanks for the info! @Least I know someone in this part of the world had tried and tested and found it not working efficiently as a chiller (in terms of $$$ spent vs effectiveness)... Hmmm...$700 for a 1/2hp chiller is cool......will check out more of this then...
  11. Actually, there're aquarium thermoelectric coolers which are designed based on Peltier Effect. Check out this IceProbe product at this site: http://www.coolworksinc.com/iceprobe.htm However, Peltier effect cools water best when the volume of water is within an insulated container (i.e. surrounded by insulating material all round of at least 1in thick). I'm actually thinking how these ThermoElectric Coolers (TECs) can help in making a DIY Chiller that's cheaper and easier maintenance alternative to those... very ex$$$ chillers... Will share any findings IF found...
  12. Hi Everyone! I'm new in this forum!! I'm oso excited on the coming Aquarama...and...uhmmm...the SRC T-Shirt as well! If there's really a SRC T-Shirt, why not ask members of SRC to submit their T-Shirt design to AT and other moderators...and they will pick the best design... (In this way, I can submit mine too... )
