hahha.. he already mention that it's 6mm. standard thickness for this kinda glass tank with this width and height. Btw, just for general knowlegde. For tanks above 1.5' in height, the thickness of the tank must be above 6mm in order to withstand the weight. So basically for 1.5' above tank, thickness will be around 10 or 12mm and the glass used is no longer the normal glass. This is just some of the standard in tank-making. Cheers. Hey bro, i suggest that you dun put in water and LR first. Go to your nearest hardware store and grab one can of anti-rust primer spray. Spend some time spraying it. Spray at least three to four layers. Spread one thin layer then wait for it to dry, then you do the other layer. Repeat the same until u are done with four layers. I did that and my iron stand manage to stand with no fear for four years le. Just a tip for u.

Doesn't agree with the article...even that it's true abt the poor survival rate of cleaner wrasse in captive. but there are a few successful stories around. Other than that, I agree on the other aspects of the articles and thus don't recommend cleaner wrasses for the general public unless u are really experienced and have time for it. :>

think this question is very hard to answer...becos u must see the material..livestocks and alot of things...u can try asking around all the sponsor and shops to see the package. they normally have package... from thousands to ten thousands depending on wat u want...is everything is best...can be alot.. and must see wat kinda of tank...if u include CR, skimmer, FR, denitrator...blah blah...chiller...everything top-notch then can be really expensive.. the question u ask is too general...

i think he looking for the pump. i have one of this brand skimmer too. but no pump then cannot use le... try other pumps but cannot work cos cannot produce microbubbles.. kinda sux. so dump in my storeroom now..

harlequin filefish ? it eats acropora polyps one leh...tough nut... i will look into it. no prob. mandarin also take my x-factor becos i am keeping one mandarin in barebottom. will look into that. talking abt polyps...maybe I will come up one formulae which includes polyps too. hahaha.. that means a whole new dimension in reef and marine keeping in the future. which means a lot of fishes which only eat polyps and be kept in the future. hahahha...thank you for the support. regarding sponge addition, I have sources for shipments so sponge wun be a problem. but the price is not cheap to add in sponge. so even if there is a sponge formulae, it will be really limited in goods and high in price. will be slightly higher than the imported angel formulae or around the same here. if there is a demand for it, the price can be adjusted. then that will be our first local angel food. it's suitable for tangs also. those interested can just show me ur hand, so that i can look into this in the near future. Pls note that I'm running a proper business here to provide good and quality products. so it's not like today I tok abt this product then tomolo I immediately go and make. I will made a few batches for my own tank to test the quality and effective of it before bringing it to the market for all of u. and every product has been tested with my own fishes. actually sometimes I overfeed becos of that but no choice, for the benefits of everyone. hahaha.. I personally dun feed with any other food besides X-factor. so every product undergo stages of testing and testing..and each ingredients are been change and change all over the time to find the best of the best. and the final product is wat u get today. and all the feedback I received, I will look into the problems to improve on it so that ur fishes can have the best and ur system will wun get affected too. and dun worry. X-nature will bring u many types of food so that ur fishes wun get bored and u can feed them like ur babies...u can keep on changing recipes for them every month. or even everyday. if u dun believe the greatness and effectiveness of it, get a box and try it out cheers. It's not just some anyhow DIY home food with just some market ingredients. The recipe for X-factor will never be revealed. 23 different ingredients for your fishes. Nothing beats X-factor to it. X-nature is the name of my company for ur information. working towards a whole new experience in feeding. aims to improve the situation in marine and reef scene right now by creating a line of products which is excellent in quality. And also to increase the successful rate in keeping moorish idol and other hard-to-feed fishes. in the future will be providing a few more tests to show it's ability. that's when X-nature forum is up... some fishes which will be tested are: Moorish Idol, cleaner wrasse. any suggestions ? just let me know. I will do the test and post the results on how many days it take for it to get feeding. and the fish which is used in the test will then be sold off to interested party at original price. Cheers. BTW X-factor is X-factor. it's standardised already. XFII is just during the expermental process. X-factor contains 23 ingredients for ur fishes. It is very good for enticing fish to eat especially new tangs and angels. To entice a new fish which is not feeding, u can try X-factor. provided that it's not overstress, normally it will be feeding on X-factor by day 2 or 3. the price will be officially revealed when everything is up.

nitrate factory...not really for that. anaerobic bacteria needs porous material to thrive on and with good husbandry. it will removes nitrate too. use with DSB. But DSB alone(6" to 7") with good husbandry will be able to control ur nitrate problem. but dun bother abt nitrate control first becos nitrifying reaction is more important as ammonia and nitrite are poisonious. biohome with DSB plus good husbandry is a good biofilter system. aiyo...no need la...what culture disc and stuffs.u can get those phytoplankton dry around and use that to culture. the only thing is that u need more work. u can get those bottled ones from LFS also but if u are seriously thinking of culturing ur own and raising it...then go for the dry ones.. or else known as starter... u can get plenty around. just need to go search. if really cannot find, then contact me. see when i am free, bring u go find. nitrate and phosphate prob cannot avoid one. becos plankton is a form of microalgae and they need these nutrients too. i dun really support idea of using farming and planting fertilisers due to the fact that they contains alot of metals for these plants. u will be seriously polluting the water. instead, just use trace elements and vitamins for these plankton. when they consumed ur vitamins, ur fishes will get them when u feed ur fishes with planktons. u can feed them with yeast too but yeast is not nutritional.

The angel project is indeed interesting but need some time investment. becos u need to study and anallysis each and every stage of it from juvenile to adult. to ensure that at diff stage, the hypothesis still can work. getting angel to feed is quite a simple task if u have patience and once it acclimate to ur tank. but the prob. is that to prevent it from feeding on ur corals. I saw one of the guys from USA. guess how he keep his angel from eating corals in his reef tank ???

LUCKY. but he tried to propose this and that to me several times, when i wan interested in propagating rotifers. He told me he prepare ten tanks for that...got a recipe from german... I was wondering that if he opens LFS to hold ten tanks. and he also give me ridiculous price for wat i'm selling. but due to bad manners, I have not sold him anything yet. He told me that he setup tanks for banks and hotels. he import livestocks and stuffs. But from my knowlegde, in order to import livestocks, u need to have a farm and there are some regulations on that. That's wat AVA states. So if next time someone tell u they ship in stuffs personally. DUN BELIEVE. Unless they do it illegally or by small amount, or else by a big quantity it's not possible to do so. u need a set-up and area permitted by AVA. pls spread the words around. and he speaks with an accent.
