  1. hey guys, last heard from Reborn, they are expecting Fishes, Coral and LR this coming Wednesday. Ah Soon said that its better to go down around 6pm when they have finished unpacking Next, ML is expecting shipment this Friday, Henry said its better to call him before making the trip there. Shipment not 100%. thats all folks
  2. besides the Chromis for their activities in the tank, how about the other options of Anthias? i know in terms of feeding, it might be a challenge, but given the beauty of those fishes, arent they worth the effort? Or is there too much of an effort compare to Chromis?
  3. RX, thX for the inputs, higly valued (Side-track alittle ) BTW just tried your X-Factor yesterday, almost everyone went bogus about it, but somehow noticed my Red Scorpion Dragonet is still quite hesitant towards it, anyway they were only introduced into my tank on Friday, i presume they would not be able to resist the X-Factor soon?
  4. thomas, what exactly is a high nutrient tank? abundance of coral food? and thanks for you inputs
  5. thX RockBoy, i have come across an additive call "Purple-Up", you got any comments on this? Read that its a coraline algae growth accelerator. Quite sceptical about such "magic pill"
  6. aha, thx for the clarification. btw, i saw Chromis over at Reborn yesterday, quite alot of them and selling at $1 each
  7. i see, so what are the benefits of having those coraline algae? or are there any?
  8. yes, i heard someting about adding some additives to the water, which is during WC, and that could not only assist but accelerate the growth of coraline algae. Any truth or test fact on this? anyone?
  9. Saw a pair of them over at Sea-Life last week.
  10. Yesterday i saw some pom pom crabs over at Ah Beng's .
  11. Hi fellow Reefers, may i know how could one promote the growth of those purplish coraline on the LR? thanks for your inputs in advance
  12. yo flyingclam, i too has the orange hermit. they only nip at those dying or dead coral, they are still scavengers in nature. But besides that, they are the more agressive hermits around, they would "disturb" those slower responsive fishes, and sometimes accidentally hurting them, which leads to death and a meal for them. I have them for 1 month now, everything seems ok, happily amidst my livestock. but they do work hard going through my substrate and algae.
  13. thanks. Saw some pretty nice medium size Chromis at ML today. Maybe you wanna try them. But i think you should not let them into your tank for cycling purposes
  14. some reviews for TUNZE 6045, the attach clips are fragile, alot of comments for it were them. Besides that, the price and efficieny were thumbs up !
  15. By nature the Blue Tang is a glazer. U might want to try some red bamboo in the tank. After it start eating, then try pellets and others. bascially it eats almost anything
  16. hi fellow reefers, i have a almost 2ft cube reef tank, just completed cycle and no fishes yet. Had kept 4 cleaner and 2 fire shrimps with 3 hermits. Just wondering whats the guideline for the number of shrimps to be kept in tank like mine? thanks for your inputs in advance !
  17. i see, so should the Chromis be introduced into my tank first, or i should let other fishes which more shy first?
  18. Green Blue Chromis eh? Seriously speaking, these fishes never caught my eye before. Seem just plain and no distinct characteristic. Guess my taste in fishes is only skin deep.
  19. Are there any preferred mushrooms food?
  20. i presume these fishes would have to be in a relatively small size?
  21. Hi fellow reefers, just just completed cycling my tank, thinking of adding some fishes but had no specific preference yet. Would like you guys to offer some ideas. As my tank is only about 2ft cube, and i really enjoy seeing fishes swimming around carefreely, hope that you guys could drop me afew suggestions based on the above pointers. Thank you all in advance
  22. i know someone who does chiller repair and tank maintenance. Do you have a budget?
