  4. Red zoas...belongs to sonicfrank. He has some big plans for his tank so deposit this at my place. pictures are taken with LIVEVIEW, liveview is the new feature in Canon EOS. Not used to using LIVEVIEW. Lense is the default lense which comes with it. The weight of the camera compare to NIKON is really light.

  6. twin spot goby. acquire from harlequin few months back...think 5 months le.. surprise to know that this fellow died easily...but mine going on strong till now. It has its own sand hole where it will sleep. Once it wakes up, it will go around sifting sand again. too shy to show it's face...
  7. my little yellow-belly blue tang...very shy and peaceful fish. one of my favourite cos it nv disturb other fishes. and is the most obedient fish in my tank...when the lights are off, it will goes into its cave to sleep STRAIGHT AWAY.
  8. can u spot a shrimp in this picture ?
  9. a small limpet...hitchhiker. It grow from like 0.3cm. hahah..very funny creature. It took weeks to move from the left side of my tank to the centre. and when it reach the centre, it grow to this size already. (around 1.5cm).

  15. think i saw at ah beng but not sure. u can try calling them up. hope it helps. cheers
  16. anyway, it's a beautiful fish there. haha..can try to take a risk. they are peaceful on their own but usually cannot tolerate any fishes of the same family. just as long as u try to keep only one and avoid other aggressive fishes. all the best.
  17. toxin works in alot of diff. ways foxface is trigger by sting. so the poison enter ur bloodstream by sting, just like lionfish. so that's why foxface and lionfish are safer to keep as it doesn't release poison in the water column. boxfish otherwise will release toxin into the water column polluting the whole tank. carbon may remove the toxin but that depends on ur water volume also. if u have a big water volume, the concentration of the toxin release by the fish will be smaller in terms of ppm. and also calculating by amount of water turnover and amount of carbon u running. This fact can be proven if u look at the ocean scenario, does one boxfish kill the whole sea of fishes ? if u have a tank pack fully with fishes, u will suffer a big deal of casualty due to the close proximity of the fishes and direct contact. since the purpose of the toxin is to ward of predator and threats. it wun be 100percent safe or removal. the effect of it is determine by ur water turnover, water volume, amount of livestock and amount of carbon. Carbon can removed the toxin or partial of it...even if it does, it will be best likely to do a water change. as trace of it will still remains...even if ur current livestock survive it, ur new livestock(still acclimating) may not be able to take it. i have seen ppl keeping it in big setup.there is always a risk, just whether u wanna take it or not. Boxfish is very peaceful fish and doesn't attack or cause trouble. stress usually result when u have very very big fishes or fierce predators. cheers.
  18. the so called hawaii type is long nose one...the other type if i not wrong is actually yellow mimic tang. the long nose one belongs to zebrasoma family, in the same family as brown and black tang. more information on longnose yellow tang: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_Tang the fake yellow tang which is from phil. is called yellow mimic tang. they are mimic of lemonpeel angel. from the Acanthurus family, same family as powder blue, convict tang. more information here: http://www.freshmarine.com/yellow-mimic-tang.html to know which is which...it's very simple. just look at their body shape. mimic tang has the body shape of powderblue and long nose has the shape of brown and black tang. if still cannot diff., just look at the nose...
  19. PROJECT MI MI not mission impossible but moorish idol. try 3 specimen...but fail. all feeding but just died suddenly. i keep them in my sump to ensure good feeding habit before introducing in main tank but all just died after a few days. try live brine, new spectrum, ocean nurtrition...i think it could be space constraint in sump problem. maybe i try again by putting it in my main tank. any MI guru can give some advice or share ur MI pic here. cheers
  20. cute percula wondering what i am doing...when i was taking photos, all the fishes swim around trying to figure out what i am doing.
