  1. very awesome scape bro.. me gusta!
  2. nice tank gary, looking forward.. btw, what invention? can share or PM?
  3. will slowly stock up again, nowadays no time to go shopping as often as last time.. no idea, speculated either is my dad's experimentation with vodka, but the timing doesnt seem to match.. or bad batch of seawater, possibly.. really no idea.. even now, we dare not say that the system is 'stable' already, still monitoring, especially the remaining SPSes.. growth seem to be stunted.. large one is around 20~, there is small, medium, large.. can get from C328, or Seaview.. more info and sizing can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/External-Plastic-Aquarium-Breeding-Satellite/dp/B004APYF66 online video of it in operation, by default using airpump.
  4. the Ng Couple shop, in front of Ahbeng, still operating? went there many times recently but always closed..
  5. thanks CF, its somehow not as nice as before.. sadly, haha.. as u see, i have taken a turn for zoas and mushrooms, no long able to maintain "Full-SPS", the keeping up with Ca, Mg, and kH is too tiring for me and my dad..
  6. FTS Feb 11 after the major SPS crash, most of the SPS in my tank didnt make it, while those in my dad's tank stagnated, some stn.. things seem to be stabilizing and turning well so far.. Full view: Planted tank: Dad's tank: My tank:
  7. wa u're very observant bro, thanks thanks.. pic and short vid of the yashas, for your viewing pleasure.. weirdly, the smaller one is bolder..
  8. awesome lifestocks and SPSes.. appreciate the detailed husbandry write-up too..
  9. oops sorry for the misunderstanding, I wasn't clear lol.. actually I alr am using a small submersible pump to pump water into the box from my sump, the box is just an addon.. what u've described is exactly what it is now..
  10. ah icic, good point.. actually I'm using a small submissive pump to generate the inflow instead of the designed air-pump (which has really low turnover), so I'll just monitor this pump, from the looks it seems to be able to generate sufficient turnover, but it's adjustable so I can rev it up anytime too.. very handy breeder box since it comes with inlet, outlet, and lid.. didnt really modify much except to hook up a powerhead instead of air.. thanks bro peacemaker, will have much to learn from you in future.. btw these fellows are fairly nocturnal explorers I realize.. interesting..
  11. pics as promised, after i relocated the yashas.. the display tank is simply too intimidating for these little fellows.. so i hooked up a "Sudo Satellite Breeder Box" to my sump to house them.. will be adding and re-collecting some zoa-frags into this box to grow..
  12. will take some new updated photos maybe this weekend, after the SPS crash, never really stock up liao..
  13. finally, new home for yashas done!

only got global warming, with the insane heat today.. haha..

  14. ah icic.. thanks Terry! shall check with my dad whether he wants to keep it.. cute fellow, but if he doesnt appreciate it, u can have it.. very cryptic fellow, even if give him a brown sps to stay in, probably wun see him at all, even during feeding time.. very shy so far..
  15. spot on about the 90o elbows.. got it at Vista Point hardware shop near my house.. not v wide selection, but i managed to find what i was looking for.. shouldnt be hard to find right?
  16. ahh.. icic.. somewhat only bad for sps if they lay eggs there.. hmm interesting fellow.. maybe keep in sump.. thanks Desi!
  17. post video for u tonight la.. haha.. as much as i planned on the introduction of the new yashas, freak accidents do occur.. my gf spooked the yashas in the betta box, one of them jumped out and MIA inside the rocks.. haiz.. thus i've released the remainin one with the shrimp into the DIY burrow.. keeping fingers crossed.. its a big tank, with moderately big fish.. hope it works nonetheless.. tried my best to calculate flow, food drifting, fish traffic, and visibility.. DIY burrow idea thanks to bro Peacemaker..
  18. hi all experts, need help in ID-ing these two fish that hitchhiked in a wild SPS colony that my dad bought recently.. some sort of hawkfish? very bad at fish IDs.. friend or foe? thanks in advance!
  19. congratulations! long time no see, and your tank has matured so beautifully!
  20. nice! haha! making me excited to embark on my yasha project soon! btw, is it normal for yashas to pick up food off the substrate? or are they more of the "attention-towards- drifting-food" kind?
  21. very nice and healthy SPSes.. especially that monti, awesome growth.. btw, some species will tend to grow much faster than others.. part and parcel of reefing, cheers!
  22. bro, kenna poisoned by your yashas.. just acquired 2 yashas and 1 randalli today.. my tank too big, will keep them in isolation first, after exams will use your "piping-method" to introduce into display tank..
