Hehe your tank now looks kind of cute with colonies and frags in stark contrast

But as you rightly put it, patient is needed and will bring you great satisfaction when you frags grown into sizable colonies.

Btw, seems like it is not easy to capture the hoeksemai color right ?

I have struggled to take a good pic of this beautiful blue stag, need to seek some expert photographer tips on how to get it :superman:

Treat others the way you wanna be treated...

Haha I am still figuring out where to place some of the colonies in their final positions. Might need an extra dead rock or two to mount them as I am trying to minimize corals on the sandbed.

That's the reason why I want to start things off with several frags - the growth and colouration that comes along with it.

I will try to take another shot of the hoek again - perhaps my exposure is a little too high. The difficult part is getting the tan colouration on the body right as it looks subdued in my photo.

Well it's a rather individual choice. I used to get it from CF and kept for almost 3 months before i itchy hand and introduce ozone, end up killing the fish indirectly. <_<

Alternatively I think Henry from Marine Life offers to help nurture your AT for a short period of time, think this could increase the rate of survivability as well.
