chiller for 5ft tank

artica to be honest quite high price for me. i'm considering hailea .5 horse as paper specification it can chilled up to 1.2k litre of water. after calculation on my 5ft tank the most my water capacity is 900litre. including sump.

thanks all senior/pros. i've decided to use 1horse chiller

Any brand or model u have decided? I'm using 0.5hp now and don't mind looking at different alternative to change to 1hp

Drop in coil compressors are not warm at all because they work for a very short time to cool 1 degrees even for my previous 5x2.5x2 , in fact its quite cooling like a fan lol

Mix Reef Tank: 5ft x 2.5ft x 2ft mixed reef

China brand might not be accurate in the water temperature reading as compared to the Artica, due to the placement of the thermostat within the chiller. One problem that will arise is that chiller will kick in more often due to the inaccurate reading of temperature.

Did a search on it before i purchased my chiller even though its just a 1/10 hp, found out that many of the hobbyist have modified their china brand chiller with external thermostat to get a more accurate reading of temperature.
