Need advice - Injured Firefish

Hi Bro & Sis,

Can anyone help to advice whether this injury is serious? The firefish has been hiding inside the rocks and only out when feeding time. I am not sure what has caused this injury, whether is there anything within the rocks as other fishes should not attack it.

Please advise.

aparantly the fish is still alive and appear when feeding time.

Most likely the injury is from fish bully in your tank. See if u are able to catch this fellow or the bully out?

If it is still feeding try to add vitamin in the fish food to help its own healing.

Thanks! The fish still comes out to feed during lights on. Don't think any bully fishes as all are on their own. Unless the sand goby, used to hide in the same hole but now they are separated.

Will continue to observe.

Very important to provide fishes with lots of hiding places. Maybe you can try catching it and then leave it in a betta box first

Too late, the fish has gone to heaven. My rock scape has many holes and barrow for them to hide. But it did not survived. Sigh!!!
