Polylab product

Thanks to menyang_neo's promising results using the polyplab products i decided to try it as well. Im on the end of my fist week on monday, so far i still haven't seen any reduction on my phosphate level. Im hoping to get improved readings by the second week. I'm ot sure if my not turning off the skimmer is the reason though i think it's too early to make conclusions. By the way, anybody else noticed the difference in the dosing suggestion for the fuel on the downloadable data (pdf file) with that in the container itself? I wonder why the discrepany and which one is correct.

Edit: prior to polyplab, i was using biodigest only (not the complete prodibio bacterria dosing line) and remember seeing results on the second week only so maybe that is how long it normaly takes for bacteria to populate the tank to make noticeable improvement.

Good to see whether there wil be a reduce in phosphate as i do not test them. Please update the result here so that we will know whether this product can help to reduce phosphate.

The turning off skimmer should be to allow the coral to absorb the coral food.

For me I used the dosing according to the downloadable data, so far so good.

I feel it is good to follow the instruction like dose during light on or off and turning off skimmer if need to for best result. I am following the routine and the result is quite good.

The purpose of the product is to achieve ULNS level so that means it brings down nutrients, specially phosphates, to levels below 0.03ppm. Im sure that is now the case in your tank since your SPSs regained their colors after weeks of dosing and I am expecting to see my PO3 go down on the second week as well. I also follow the dosing instructions closely and I might also try to turn my skimmer off when my lights go off after the second week if i don't see improvements. As a reference my PO3 right now is at 0.1ppm measured by red sea algae test kit and confirmed by hanna phosphorus ULR checker

Will be posting updates soon.

By the way, how many fish do you have in your tank and what is you fish feeding regimen?

The reason should be at night, need to dose coral food and turn off the skimmer will prevent the food from skimmed away by the skimmer.

  • 4 weeks later...

i just want to update that towards the end of the fourth week of dosing (yesterday), my phosphate is now down to 0.03ppm :yahoo: .

a few sps are midway on their old original coloration  while other sps species are still dull and has not yet started changing color after about 5 months in 0.1ppm phosphate.

also, my water looks very clear and the smells a lot better (fresher).

in conclusion, at this early, i could say that the product works based on visual and measured results. in fact im very happy with it.

I think these product bring down the no3 and po4 to quite a low level so should be ok for any set up. If your water parameter is good enough for sps then all other coral should do well also.

Your tank looked kinda yellowish, is it due to lights or the camera?

Hi Bros,

I'm linko. I started Polyplab Reef-Resh dosing yesterday.

What I'm not clear is, as they stated as " once open it, must keep in the fridge"

But all of the 4 bottles have no seal cap. How could I believe it is fresh???

How about yours?

I got mine from the fish channel and the gentel Bros from there said they granted on it.

Hopefully I m lucky with this product!

Thank you all.

Happy Reefing!

Thanks for your kind reply and recommendation. I believed it so.

Could you mind to share your daily dosing routine?

My dosing route is not so constant due to working schedule.

In the weekdays, I dosed RF-Genesis and RF-Fuel around 7:30am before i go to office and dosed the other two parts after photoperiod.

My photoperiod is 2:00pm to 11:30pm.

In the weekend, I doese RF-Genesis around 11:00am after I woke up and dosed RF- Fuel around 1:00pm as most.

So, I assumed that I could dosed Part 2 and 3 constantly and Part 1 & 4 are not. Am I right?

Here Bros, kindly advise me for dosing route.

Thank you so much.

Happy Reefing!
