K_Gokiburi
Have this running since early July Filtration: - Some canister prefilter that I loaded with a sheet of wool and stuffed with coral chips. Lots of pods running around in here - An old EHEIM canister filter my late father left me, no idea what model this is. Only live rock in here. Wavemaker: - Boyu WM-101 (would probably upgrade to an MP10 in the near future) Protein Skimmer: - DIY 'Glazer' style skimmer I made with a plastic tube from Art Friend (pardon the bad silicone job lol) Chiller: - 1/20HP Hailea HC-100a Lighting: - 3rd party hood with 6 x 3watt LEDs, 4 whites and 2 blues Livestock: These two guys Random zoa, paly and shrooms and a hitchhiker anemone that came with my live rock from Coral Farm I have a love/hate relationship with this tank, I love the design but it's a real pain to work with with regards to maintenance and equipment sourcing. The very narrow opening at the top also means that oxygen exchange is restricted. I had the tank crash on me once in the early days because the wavemaker wasn't causing enough surface agitation and it became hypoxic. SRC Member ryanlio Posted October 26, 2012 SRC Member Share Posted October 26, 2012 unique tank.. can see the extra effort in cleaning the surface.. loved the zero edge concept though... sweet!! Marine_fanaticz
Look superb... Probably because you're using an extra canister filter, skimmer and a chiller...I was at first very attracted to this model but the stock hob filter is definitely not sufficient. cheers

SRC Member solasido Posted November 6, 2012 SRC Member Share Posted November 6, 2012 Hi bro, you can consider using bubble stone or strip at the back to increase gas exchange. It will look cool if you properly place it.
