Add another powerhead inside the tank to circulate and stir the water a bit lor. I using a Eden 228 PH bought 2ndhand, so far doing a good job. But my return pump, ehiem 1260, can deliver 2500L/Hr. So far can observed the slight current even along the sand bed. My tank is 3ft x 1.5ft x 2.5ft. with 6inch DSB. SRC Member sinner Posted January 28, 2004 Author SRC Member Share Posted January 28, 2004 you're using the 1260 as a return pump from the sump? actually i prefer the pump to be in the filer compartment (my side overflow filter) as i'm afraid things might get sucked into the powerhead which my ex anemone did

The rotating PH will sweep the water thus recreating some current. Best is aim the PH flow towards ur return flow so both current will cross at each other. SRC Member Ian Posted January 28, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted January 28, 2004 I'm using 2 of these in my 422 tank. Pump I'm using a different brand. Cheap, low wattage and powerfull. You can break the flow using a modular hose split into 2.
