Chiller questions

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have a new FOWLR, thinking of getting a chiller.

my question are:

1) how much heat does the chiller emits? I have the tank in the living room.

2) can the chiller is housed on the cabinet above the tank?

thanks in advance.

PS: consider Arctica brand of chiller

I am contemplating adding corals in the near future, thus the need for a chiller

if you intended to keep some corals, then your fish selection has to be limited.

example, number of fishes to achieve low bio-load and the type of fishes ( must be reef safe)

have to plan and be careful. :)

I am just using a haelia chiller. My tank is in a corner in my living room (5rm HDB). sound and heat is negligible. dun really feel it and my estate is pretty quiet.

housing it in a cabinet above is good cos hot air rises. you will feel the heat less. but i presume you are running a return pump from a sump?? if yes, you will need a very powerful pump to pump water from sump to your ceiling. at least 2+ meters....

Tank : 2.5 x1.5 x 2

Skimmer : Bubble Magus NAC3.5

Lighting : Maxspect 110W

Chiller : Hailea 150 @ 27Deg

Salt : TropicMarin
