lol, i know....anyway to bro jxlex, maybe u can get some CUC if the hair algae persists. No matter what mechanical or chemical filtration u add, sometimes hair algae will still grow inside your tank.

Super overdue update of this little journal of mine...

Some basic updates:

1. Installed TIR lens for the lighting

2. Change dosing regime to balance up key parameters. After so many weeks, i finally managed to bring CA to 430, Mg to 1320 & KH down to 8.9. Didnt dare to be so drastic so slight adjustments daily.

3. NO3 & PO4 undetectable for the last 2 weeks. Hmm algae issue still present but can see them dying of and balancing off liao.

4. Lost a whole lot of sps which i transfered over from my other tank. Stupid parameters :(

5. Again added a few more inside which i am closely monitoring (touchwood).

Daily regime:

AM - Dose Ultrabak, UltraMinS & Ultra Organic

AM - Feed Articpods & Rotifer

PM - Tank glass cleaning

PM - Feed Oyster Shake

Weekly: Off skimmer and dose Henry's bacteria powder, change filter sock

Bi Weekly: Water Change, Dose BioDigest & Its Clear!

Have been sticking to this habit for the past 2/3 weeks and have been quite happy with whats happening in the tank.

I did get an STN outbreak on many of my spses and am still closely monitoring it. Suspect due to really low mag&cal and extremely high KH. Weirdly some of the sps are starting to encrust at the base and i look forward to some growth soon.

Realised about 1 week back that my radion was not setup correctly and only running at 20% stupidly changed it back up to 100% and many corals started showing signs of bleaching. Upgraded to TIR lenses and running at 60% now. Aim to raise by 5% weekly till 100%.

Well some pictures taken 1+ week ago to share. As you can see i have bad bout of algae issues, now it is slowly settling down.

Came home to a major scare... Apparently the electrician came today to replace the switchboard for the whole house and my tank was without power for more than half a day...

Everything seem ok for now but think better monitor... Anything I should look out for?

Temperature change could stress fishes and corals out sometimes. If corals looked ok then need to monitor fishes, their bodies & appetite, etc. for the next few days. Btw where u get those dosing acrylic box/compartment?
