Can someone explains to me how does Dosing unit works? Besides dosing chemicals, can I use it to dose liquid food? I assume it adoses liquid chemical/food automatically based on the interval/time we set on the timer? I still dont understand exactly how it works.

Thanks

If u get those 4channel type..means can dose 4 different liquid. You set the ml. Some can set less than one ml. Example u need to dose 120ml in a day...u set 120 and freqyency 4 time..it will set auto the amount at 30ml x4 in a 24hr day. The time for the dose starts u set. Some doser do not allow multiple dosing at same time eg like 0905, 1005, 1105..etc to prevent mix of the dosing liquid. If ur food liquid need to be fridge, then manually dose instead of using doser. The amount to dose will be indicated on the labels of the additives that u bought. Follow the intructions closely to prevent over dose. Test kits can help to ensure what u dose are within requirements however, there re some u cannot measure, example: trace elements. Follow the instructions closely for those u can't measure or don't dose in the 1st place. Regular water changes can replenish trace elements.

In order to figure out the consumption of elements required, daily measurement is necessary.

Eg, test ur water, do not dose anything, then test water again at the same time the following day, U will know how much elements ur tank has consumed. Then dose according to the instruction, and test the same time next day, see if the parameters stay stably, dose a bit more if lower, a bit less if higher. Repeat testing for a period of time and find out the sweet point. Then setup ur dosing pump accordingly.
