if its dead, the skeleton will be very clean white and there will be no polyps and skin on the skeleton. Mine has turn white and covered in brown algae.

Probably nip by fish? The birdnest on the right is dead due to me overdosing seachem paraguard wiping out and damaging a few corals and fish in my old tank.

Hi bro, yah, I placed it too high on the rocks and i think the clam was stress and died within 3 days. I have since bought another clam and place it on the sand bed with a dead monti plate below the clam. It. Is now holding tightly onto the monti plate and I could shift it next time if there is a need without damaging its suction pads.. The new clam is still alive!
