2 feet tank into a sump tank

as above i have a 2 feet tank thought of turning it into a sump tank for my 2 feet clam tank is it possible?

i tend to buy my own partition and glue it to me tank using of coz silicone la

but can someone pls advice how many compartment i should have

it all depends on what kinda sump u want ... u want a refrigerium ..or a trickle system filter .. i suggest u surf thru the internet for sump design .... ull see lots of design for lots of kind of systems ...

a normal sump would be of 3 compartment .....

1st the input where the water comes down from main tank ... some people put coral chips sponge balls etc etc ....

2nd is where the refrigerium is or where u place skimmer .

3rd is for the return pump.

as for partition u decide which is best .....
