Having my vortech in night mode (-50%) after light off. Too much flow at night might not allow fish to rest properly. Afterall, they are confined in our limited aquarium space.

Other fishes are naso, yellow, blue tang, picasso trigger, hawkfish, goby and pair of mandarins. Btw, i also dont have a skimmer! I like it all natural using sump with dsb, chaeto and lr. I set my two wave maker to on using timer from 1600-2200. Reason of doing this is:

1) Safe electricity(main reason)

2) Let corals and fishes to have a more peaceful enviroment(sounded a bit rediculous but i think is good for them)

But of course the sad back is life spend on the wave maker will be shorten.

please attached for my FTS.   The LRs are in the middle so the tangs will have swimming space circling from back to front.  The WP40 is pointing to the back and return pump pointing to the front creating a washing machine effect :-P

Wow thats 4ft tank? my first thought was 2ft cube!

Yeah bro. Actually there is another one in the middle pointing up as well. I turn it on manually once in a while when in the mood to force dirt to the overflow.

Thats a 50 liter tub. I have to top up every 2 weeks. I tried using fan but evaporation is crazy so I stopped it.

So bro, ur tank max.temp so far at 31°c ok?

The evaporation was really crazy using fan..I have try cooling my 5ft tank from 28.5°c to 27.8°c in 8hr period (3pm-11pm) n 3L of water was gone..maybe I will set thermostat for the fan liao..dun run 247..

it shoots to 31 degrees during june/july.. so far it's been like that for 3 yrs now. i think if you are on fowlr don't waste time on the fan.. just save the electricity and water ;-)

I have 422.5 tank running return pump 1262 & with 2 wave maker..thinking of removing 1 but afraid oxygen/filtration system effect will be reduce..any advise?

Understand ur tank flow..having a return pump already have flow..wavemaker is to compliment dead spot..so position ur wavemaker well n 1 shd b enough..

Another thing to note is what fish u keeping..some like stronger flow while some don't..happy reefing
