bro, I would suggest to get wp25 for ur tank as the size of wp40 is bigger alot and so will eat up a bit of the space in ur tank..

its better to get 2 wavemakers than 1 (backup and also more coverage)..

u can try 1 wp25 1st..something to ask, ur return 3000lph flow good?..coz in my view, its abit weak (in view of headloss)

happy reefing

As of now the DD pump is sufficient i supposed. Seems like 2 x WP25 is better then. Thanks guys.

HI all, Should i be getting 1 x WP40 for my 3x2x2 rimless tank? or 2 x WP25? I was watching some videos on youtube and the wave is pretty scary, don't know if it will spill out. Thanks!
my opinion is does a single wp40 consumes the same area as a wp40. I just feel the less pump footprint in the tank then better

Tank size:36"x36"x24"

Return pump" 2x Reef Octo 5000

Skimmer:BK Double Cone 200 on Reef Octopus DC 5500s.

Wavemaker:2xVortech MP40wES

Chemical filtration:1xeducator FR(biopellets)

Chiller:1hp Daikin compressor.

Lighting:2 x Kessil A360we

Auto topup system: JBJ ATO + new jet 1200

Dosing system: Kamoer 3 channel.

Additives: ESV 2 part.

Power consumption

2XReef Octo 5000: 120watts

BK skimmer:50watts

2xVortech wavemaker:70watts

Daikin compressor:775watts

Lighting:180watts

Ato system:21watts

Exhaust fans:16watts

Refugium light:27watts

Pump footprint mean the size of the wavemaker right?..of Coz the smaller the better..but smaller mean less powerful too..plan well..see tank size to gauge is the best..cheers
