Hi,

I am new to this forum. This is my first time to have a sump which i am not sure whether the sump design is correct.

Only got limited space therefore the size of sump would be 22" x 14" x 16".

Skimmer: deltec sc 1350 internal protein skimmer

Pump: Eheim Universal Pump 1250 x 2

Chiller: Not confirmed yet.

Main tank:

30" x 18" x 18"

Wavemaker: Tunze Nano Wavebox 6206

Light: not confirmed yet

Draft some picture to show the concept, Please help to comment and give advise. Thank you.

Ideally u have 4 compartments. First is for the mechanical filtration, can be sponge or filter sock. Second, for the skimmer and other equipments. Third for the refugim and lastly for the return. The pump for chiller can be sucking the water out from the 2nd compartment and output at the return pump section.

If your return pump compartment is too small, you will face frequent water top up.

Hope this clarify.
