Kuchiki
Guess what? I fed my fishes this morning and Yellow Tang was feeding nonstop on the pellets. First time seeing him chasing after those sinking pellets. Super cute. Wat made him suddenly do that??
Edmund Koh
Hahaha! I have no idea man. There are still some algae around the tank but not a lot left. I did see him eyeing my other fishes during feeding time. Noticed that he watch them scoot around for food and he was scooting around too. But those time he was scooting aimlessly and did not eat any pellets. Guess he finally learned how tasty those tiny dots are.
Stryder78
Hi sherilyn, try to break/mince the seaweed. Happens to me and I just did this to scatter the seaweeds pcs and my tang took them all. Stryder78
Try to rub a small piece of seaweeds to make small flakes then feed to your tang. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SRC Member RayL Posted November 26, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted November 26, 2014 Just a side question. Does your yellow tang love chasing its own reflection up and down at the side of your tank? Mine loves doing so. Strange behavior
SRC Member Angel Keeper Posted November 26, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted November 26, 2014 That's very normal behaviour... If you don't like him doing that, buy another Yellow Tang... He will start chasing the new one... LOL! Angel Keeper
SRC Member RayL Posted November 26, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted November 26, 2014 Lol! i end up feeding more and he will chase after the food then resume to chasing its own reflection. Very adorable

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalkbro just to share with you I reef by one principle if it does not eat don't buy..than again if you think you can make it feed by all means you get it.. My YT who my Mom named Kiko is now 7years old he never ate anything for 4weeks only grazing on algae in the tank but after awhile it ate now he has transformed into a pig tangs will become accustom to your food... tangs are easy to get feeding maybe hard also are those species like PBT,Blue tangs etc..complete different story if get one that is not healthy at all Very sorry for your loss Cheers! SRC Member asg Posted November 26, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted November 26, 2014 TFC is a yes when I go they do Agreed. Have to give TFC a thumb up for their fishes. More exp but chances of suvival is sure higher. Quote 子非鱼,焉知鱼之乐... (you are not the fish so you...) Then: my 4FT low tech selling off tank... Guest
Hey! I just bought a yellow tang 4 inch from some good bro. Instantly eating pellet. I think higher chance to survive if bought from captive (as in people that selling their own yt away)
blackcell
It's best that you try feeding pellets at the shop before buying.. Yellow tang are fussy eaters at the beginning.. Red bamboo agale for starters and frozen brine shrimps will do the trick.. 185 Gallons - 5ft tank since nov 2013 Quote When you fish for love, bait with your heart, not your brain
