SRC Member PowderTang Posted December 9, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted December 9, 2014 Hi, for AI users, do you have to DIY your hanging kits to the light stand?

SRC Member PowderTang Posted December 10, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 10, 2014 This kind of light stand Realized AI lights have to do some sort of DIY to fix the hanging kit to the stand but how?
Spencer Lim
Bro, If you need this kind of aluminium frame, can go to to hardware store along kelantan road / Jalan Berseh. They can cut to your measurement.
SRC Member PowderTang Posted December 10, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 10, 2014 I already have the stand Now changing my led lights to AI... Bought the hanging kits, and still wondering how to hang?
SRC Member solasido Posted December 10, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted December 10, 2014 The hanging kit has a anchor nut. So need to drill a hole at the stand for anchoring the nut. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
SRC Member solasido Posted December 10, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted December 10, 2014 Looks like your stand (in the picture) does not support drilling a hole. You can go to hardware store to get aluminum plate that can be slided in your stand. Then drill hole on the plate. Otherwise change the stand to other type of aluminum bar. SRC Member PowderTang Posted December 10, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 10, 2014 Too laychey to drill into the stand But yeah, I bought some aluminium plates with already a hole In the centre, will try the sliding method later on This is the only method I can think of
Edmund Koh
Eh .. Bro, the AI lightset would come with 2 screw holds at the top. Go and get long bolts that fit that screw hole. Tighten the bolts into the holes, leaving some space at the head of the bolt. The head of the bolt can than be slotted into the slot of your aluminum frame. Dun need hanging kit. SRC Member PowderTang Posted December 10, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 10, 2014 Haha Just realized the nut from the hanging kit can be used to slide into my stand. Btw, may I ask are the fans working when the light sets are turned on ? Cos my fans are not moving at all
Edmund Koh
Haha Yups that's the way I was trying to tell u to hang the lights. Anyways The fans will only turn on when the lights reach a certain temperature. So dun worry too much about it.
