Is cleaner shrimp aggressive?

Yesterday, I saw my cleaner shrimp attacking my goby and end up, my goby died and the cleaner shrimp was eating it alive!

Have anyone experience this before?

Is it because your goby was probably already sick?

the cleaner shrimp is just trying to clean the goby. some fish might not like being cleaned (my maroon clown hates it) and might retaliate but it is not counted as aggression as the cleaner shrimp has no intention to harm the goby

Agree with bro L33k that the cleaner shrimp was just cleaning ur fish which i feel it was aldy sick in the first place. Cleaner shrimp is a shrimp after all and shrimps r scavengers and i guess its understood why it ate ur goby after it died.

Does cleaner shrimp eat normal food, or is it totally dependent on what it can get off from the fishes?

They eat pellet and fish food from water column, sand bed and from coral mouth...
