SRC Member littlekeong Posted March 11, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted March 11, 2015 Hi all.. I realise my pump that pump out the water back to my tank, has alot of white dot which it looks like dust swmiming in my tank.. but the pump doesn't keep pumping the 'dust' out.. Sometime it will put out and it will be alot.. Quote Keep the reef happy and that is our pride.

Mom I will try to adjust see what's the outcome My guess is your external filter is expelling bubbles in the process. I used to use an Eheim external canister filter. And occasionally when I heard a "Gusting" noise made by my canister, I know the next thing bubbles will be seen coming out from water inlet pipe into display tank. You can't control it if it's from your canister. The only precaution to be taken is to ensure canister is air tight.

SRC Member Whiskie Posted March 11, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted March 11, 2015 Most probably will be air intake. Once accumulated in the pump, will be expelled. The cycle goes on until all the air trapped is expelled. Or if there are leaks, it will keep on sucking in air and accumulate.
