I have this on my 4 footer Fowlr tank. You don't get much light about 6" from each end of the tank. About 3ft coverage.

Using 120 deg lens will not help much IMO. It will also reduce the penetration of the light as well.

Just my 2cts.

So the only solution is to hang it? If not i need to supplement by t5 liao..

Hanging it higher will reduce the further reduction the light penetration to the bottom of the tank.
If you keeping LPS should be fine but no clam on the sand bed thou.
You can add T5 to supplement the side as you mentioned :)

I am using it for my 3.5ft tank and my overflow is at the side and covers about .5ft. The side is covered but can see that it is slightly dim. I would say if you are using for a 4ft tank, the both sides will be darker. I am using the default stand and my tank is 2ft tall. If you are using for your 4ft tank, likely you need to hang higher.

Tank: 3.5ft x 2ft x 1.5ft, 12mm

Sump: 3ft

Skimmer: Bubble Magus Curve 7

Lightings: Maxspect 15000k

Return Pump: Eheim 1252

Wavemaker: Jebao WP25, Jebao RW-8
