franklin
Today I started my Calcium Reactor from dosing system due to tank getting higher demand. Good advise will appreciated greatly. Current reading PH=7.8 Calcium = 425 Alkalinity = 7.95 bubble rate 1/sec and drip at 1/sec or slightly higher 5 X 2 X 2 tank
Guest
Do you know how to tune your CR? Start slowly and adjust upward or downward. Sent from my SM-N920I using Tapatalk

SRC Supporter SubzeroLT Posted October 13, 2015 SRC Supporter Share Posted October 13, 2015 Drip rate really depends on the size of reactor/media + corals you have. But for a 5ft tank type stocking, its likely you'll go for a higher drip rate (maybe 3-5 drops/sec) or even a flow. Yes agree, but scared to speed up. Later after work will test and estimate adjustment. Thanks Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk

SRC Member subxero Posted October 27, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted October 27, 2015 It depends on your CR media. May need a lower pH to melt the media. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
xiggie
If the ph reading on the monitor is reading the ph in the CR , then I would say it too high . Usually cr media melt at ph below 7 , needs to be slightly acidic to melt them. 7 is neutral anything that's above that I'm afraid will not melt the media.
