Most farms producing them are unwilling to sell them live as they can process it and sell to healthcare stores for a pretty high price. You can only get some from small spirulina culturing plants but for a really high price and you have to pay for a pretty high amount for shipment too. Buying powdered spirulina is more cost effective overall, but it will be cheaper to buy from aquarium stores than healthcare stores.
