Of course you need to check that your tank is level! We are talking about close to half a ton of water, glass and rock here. Can you imagine what can happen if someone accidentally knock into a tank sitting on a cabinet that is three-legged or a floor that is not level? Got the picture?

You can always use a bubble level finder to make sure everything is not slanted at an angle.

i kept a marine 2 footer in my bedroom for quite sometime before i upgraded to my current tank..guess what when i removed my 2ft tank from the corner?the legs of the stands were already embedded in the parquet flooring....four holes the depth of approx 2mm....but guess what..my current tank is still on the same flooring..i forgot to add tiles below the legs...haha..what a moron...so pls take precautions unless u like to clean up sticky sticky salt water and not to mention the shattered glass... :o:o:o

hmm u upgraded ur tank?? size??? my tank sit onto a cabinet... last week i redo my tank with new sand and new location.. then just now i was fixing back the cupboard doors and cant seem to get the same level at the edge.... abt 0.2cm difference in height... think the location is not nicely level than the previous location.. dunno whether will cause problem after some time.... btw i am also having my 2ft cube in my bedroom on parquet flooring also....
