SRC Member Jimmy75 Posted February 18, 2017 SRC Member Share Posted February 18, 2017 I think it's a good idea. Let me know if u manage to do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk My concern is the tube routing in the tight space; the tube may break loose at the return point if I didnt do a good job and flood my floor. Hence your way of running separate pumps interest me.

Imho, no matter one pump or 2 pump, if the tube break loose, it will still flood leh haha..so hows running separate pumps can eliminate the tube break loose? SRC Member JMW Posted February 19, 2017 SRC Member Share Posted February 19, 2017 I'm using the stock pump, but I'd recommend you upgrade to the eheim 1000 especially if the head pressure is large
SRC Member Harry H Posted February 20, 2017 SRC Member Share Posted February 20, 2017 I use a tunze 1073.008 recirculation pump for my chiller. The price is usd37 so might be a bit higher but the pump is highly reliable. I use a fluval canister (comes with its own pump) as a back up then another pump (tunze) for the chiller. I always thought of linking the chiller to the fluval but I like the redundancySent from Singapore Reef Club mobile app
