My Pico Tank

cycling of tank means you want to cultivate/grow beneficial bacteria in your filter medium (in this case your live rock), so that the bacteria can convert ammonia-> nitrite -> nitrate.

you mentioned you did 3 water changes -> it could means you replace the water that has ammonia/nitrite with water without ammonia.

if you leave your tank as it is, without doing water change, and test for ammonia and nitrite, do you see value?

your cycling is complete when your ammonia and nitrite is 0. (without doing water change)

then you do water change to control nitrate.

since you also have 5 hermit crabs already before your tank is fully cycled, when you do a proper cycle now your crab may stress or die.

Seems ok to me as you have used live rock n water... also u added mysis n dosed bac every other day. Go slow in stocking as tank needs to accomodate bio load introduced with each new live stock. Enjoy!

Thank you guys!

This is latest parameter, dosed 1 cube of mysis and bac to my tank last night, ammonia spiked to 0.25ppm from 0.00ppm, but surprisingly the nitrate dropped to 2.5ppm from 10.0ppm, any otai's know why like that? Also the calcium spiked. Take a look
