SRC Member Guinness Posted April 6, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted April 6, 2004 I suspect it is a juvenile Lined wrasse of the anampses family. Anampses lineatus. Not 100%.

Sponsor Michael Young Posted April 6, 2004 Sponsor Share Posted April 6, 2004 This is a Pseudodax Molluccanus or otherwise known as the chiseltooth wrasse in the US. What you have here is a juvenile specimen and when fully grown they can attain length of up to 25cm. Check out the adult male here.
KingFish
According to FishBase, a juvenile Pseudodax Molluccanus has a blue lined dark tail fin instead of the two bands in Nicky's picture. The dualbanded tailfin seem to be exhibited in the adults instead, but then again, it could be a variant
