Blastomussa turning white

Help... 

Bought a blastomussa frag about 1 week ago. Today i saw it is pale white.. 

Can anyone tell me whats the issue and is there anyway to save it?

i dip it in iodine just now.. hope it survive

I tried shifted it to the place where i circle in red. Do u think it is better?

Suspect its bleaching as the others mentioned. I'd put it in a very shaded area & try to feed it occasionally at night since it has little zooxanthellae to 'feed itself'.

That's a powerful light you have there. What's your light setting like?

I'm using the preset mode, haven really play with the TP..

I have the 160w version & found the preset mode much too strong for my tank.

 

Do play around with the program settings. More blue & less whites which will be less harsh. Play around with lighting hours as well.

Else, borrow/rent  PAR meter to measure. They will do will in ~ 50 PAR levels.

Oops, mine is the Maxpect Razor 160W (just noticed yours is the new R5 model). But in general, it was in the 80-90% blue. 30-60% whites.

I would suggest browsing in forums & facebook product/group pages for reference settings.
