Fantasia is good but I will also not buy her CD. In fact, I don't think any singer from AMI is good enough as a singer. Nothing near the professionals.

I wonder....why didn't anyone shout "racist' when for two years, Native Americans won the event?

i'd have to disagree...

i think the last few Idols were pretty good...

especially latoya.

think about it....how far do you think some 'professional singers' would go?

i'd definitely NOT vote for

######, any of the Spice Girls, most boy bands...

yet they are stars in their own right

it's the right timing, the right advertising, the right audience...

in the end...its still a talent show....what happenes after depends purely

on the staying power of the singers themselves...

i might buy a fantasia or latoya CD

Fantasia is not everybody's cup of tea. Not that many singaporeans are really into african american's brand of soul music, and Fantasia is soul to the extreme. You will notice that she is not so good when it comes to performing mainstream pop. So if soul music doesn't appeal to you, Fantasia probably wouldn't.

Looking purely in terms of voval talent, emotions, personality, stage presence, Fantasia has it ALL. She completely loses herself in her song as shown in her trance-like "bobbing" dance movements. It's not easy to lose composure in front of millions of people watching so I think that alone is an achievement. CAN"T WAIT for her CD!
