SRC Member damien Posted September 9, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted September 9, 2004 Hyposalinity is a treament for parasitic disease such as Marine "Ich", but I think it will do in this case. Just remove that particular rock and place in saltwater of specific gravity 1.010 for 15min. See if the nudis will drop off. U may wish to gather more info on how to remove nudis effectively. Gd luck!
SRC Member damien Posted September 9, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted September 9, 2004 I remember that I used to place the button coral in a plastic bag of stale saltwater for 1 day and nudis starts floating to the surface. U may want to try that.
SRC Member typrobin Posted September 9, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted September 9, 2004 there are no natural predators of these nudis...u have to remove them manually..either using a pincer or freshwater dip...i did it the easiest way, threw away the LR... the colony will grow so much until all your zoos are finished...i have no idea whether they will die of hunger once the zoos run out...but the last time i threw away all the zoos, they seem to have disappeared...now i have new zoos without any problem... Dispar_Anthias
IMo if you have many colony of zzoos and the nudi get out of hand, your tank is being plague.. slowly your zoos will be gone even with freshwater dip as some smaller zoo willl still be hidding else where and they reproduce damn quickly i mean really quickly
