Bro your yuma is giving me sleepless nights. :o:o:lol:

wah bro... you do not know how many weeks and months of sleepless nights I spend after seeing your tank in person ... with all that Florida Rics and SPS... :yeah:

And also the possibility of losing them

Wow... I don't think I will frag mine... I'm no pro... tried fragging those cheapo green mushies also unsuccessful already... no way I'm going to succeed in fragging this one... so I think I will let nature take it's course...

Here's my inspiration from ReefKeeping... one day I will have these... hahaha

If you can see it... you can have it!!!

tha way you described the observation makes me wonder whether lugols dip is a good thing at all.....hmmmmmmmm

The way I look at, I still advocate the dip as the results improve after every dip. I explore the possibility that those melting is the cause of releasing the bad parts of the yuma...

I thought Lugol is used for Monti nudi infection... is this also use for yumas?? what's the reason?? what's inside the lugol solution? Can anyone advise?

honestly...I have sucess fargging all sorts of mushrooms but not the red ones. :(

Maybe because dare not ry since hearing all the news abt its hypersensitivity. :P

Presently has two Red yumas that were damaged even before purchase, so trying my luck on them since the last two weeks or so...

1) Day 1 & 2 - melting very badly and one of them even splitted into four parts.

2) Day 3 - 5 - Melting but somehow subsided.

3) Day 6 - Did the lugol's dip. More melting.Do the gauze mehtod and secure rock and mushroom inside a big pvc part

4) Day 7 & 8 - Melting finally stopped. Some bleaching occurred.

5) Day 9 - 10 - Looked better except can't see the mouth of one of them.

6) Day 11 - Cut the dangling petals of one of them

7) Day 12 - observation took place

8) Day 13 - Lugol's dip again. More melting

9) Day 14 - One of them seems to be falling off the rock while the other has attached to a rock already.

10) Day 15 onwards..... keeping fingers crossed and praying... :P

My comments? Try not to try fragging with red yumas unless you can condone the numerous anxiety pangs from your observation of their progress...

:off:

Sis, I have managed to frag my red discosoma. I now have 3 frags, 1 for joe_p, 1 for bood stock and another out for swop. So far I've found their growth to be much slower than my other mushie frags, maybe its got something to do with their fluorescent protein? I am currently dosing Seachem Reef Plus as tried by GARF to increase the growth rate

wow....lovely tank bro.Fuzz....  :yeah:  the colors in there are stunning as well......

Gee thanks... my success with SPS still not there... only got 2 acros at the moment... and it's very difficult to maintain stability as it's only 40Gal (2.5ftx1.5ftx1.5ft) ... Your 4x4ft is awesome as well...

I lost 2 older clams over the last 3 days for no reason... (they were in my tank for 2months plus)

(the green crocea in the centre is one of the deceased member... :cry2:

But I'm not giving up on clams yet...

Here's my new clams from LCK...
