For the casing and ballasts you can use the commercial type. As for the bulbs..you might have to buy specific ones with suitable kelvins. Try to go for 6500K-20,000K..depending on the coral you are intending to keep and the color of the tank you are hoping to achieve. :rolleyes:

Any famous and cheap shop to get MH .... the shop can also not be a marine shop rite?

Not sure about that.

Have used non marine 150W MH for many years in past without problem. Should be ok as long as double ended has a cover glass. The units in question are proberbly used in shop displays(repaced bulb with 10,000k of course)

I thought UV rays do not pass through glass only IR (check out greenhouses)

Please correct me if i am wrong

Glass is not totally opaque to UV. Some amount will get absorbed or reflected but surprisingly large percentage gets through.
