Leather coral do not open

Hi, my leather has not open for many days (white feeders do not come out).

There are something like transparent tissues on my leather just like our skin peeling off after sun tan.

My leather did not smell

Is my leather dying or dead..... !!! Advised needed.

It's just not happy with the water yet.

It will slough off the outer layer from time to time... it's normal.

I once put in too much medication into my tank and the leather coral grew a "skin" but it slowly peeled of after about a week and now its in full bloom.

But I noticed that the sides seems to be "melting away" but its still blooming. Any possible reasons?

Yeah, AT is right. Not dying. Just shedding its skin which is a very normal renewing process for leathers. Can last anywhere from a few days to about 2.5 weeks. In addition to showing unhappiness with the water, I notice this process also happen more often when the leather is smothered by diatoms or when fishes are nipping on its polyps keeping it from extending for long periods.
