Too much light?

Hi guys,

I plan to add another 24W*4 T5 HO to complement my existing 32W*2 PL.

However, I was told by a LFS owner that I should not upgrade as the leather coral in my tank will be receiving too much light and may die.

Is this true or did I just got smoked?

i had leather in my tank and i'm using 150w MH......but leather i put at the side of the tank and not directly under the MH.....no problem....

my finger leather is directly under 2x250W in middle of tank...no problems...

but can't speak for other leather specimens of species though...

i having leather, seem like it need light...well, different coral require diiferent environment.
