Orginally the producer made the version 2 and then they stopped production due to partnership problems. Now one of the partner has taken over the business/manufacturing and now is version 3. Better get the the extra part for the ventilation (vent) as it is recommended by maker. BTW, how's the Tunze parts that you ordered for pick up in Frankfurt? Did they sent the parts or they forgot? Vili_Shark
Yeah it's a good reflector. Very expensive though. Most of the good reflectors are coming from the home grown plants industry which is apparantly bigger than the reef tank industry. DIY? I saw some who were trying to copy it, but when you test with a lux meter, it'll tell you where's the Diamond and where's not. Anyway, ya got good reflectors that gets close to the LA-3, but not even half the price.
Sabella
This article give a good indication of the Lumenarc Reflector v others: Reflector Test From what I read although the Lemenarc is superior it is not by an overly significant amount. Love to hear others thoughts. Sabella
SRC Member riot Posted April 19, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted April 19, 2005 WOuld it igve a larger spread? Then you run run less bulbs, assuming intensity remains the same?
Achilles Tang
Old news. Had my eye on them ever since I started keeping SPS. I'm still trying to get them in but shipping costs a bomb for them.
