External Pump

Hi guys

Other than the Eheim 1250, which other pump lets me use it externally?

The flowrate for 1250 is 1200LPH if I'm not wrong.

Hoping to get a pump to run externally which is around 2500LPH - 3500LPH.

And if possible, state the brand/model of the pump and price.

and Have a nice day

*Need to run it externally as I do not have a sump and using this pump to supplement for the chiller

quietone 1200, 3000, 4000 etc

eheim 1260 (2400l/h)

eheim 1262 (3400l/h)

those can run both internally and externally

I tried to search on the net regarding the brand Quietone and had read quite a few good reviews on it.

It's also said to be (very)silent.

Would love to get my hands on Aquabee if not for the price

i got mine (1200) at clementi. the one which is open 24hrs. they have 4000 and 6000 range u can take a look there. i tried 1200 and yes i agree it is very silent

Or is it a typo error?

I'm cause you mention it's L/H and this website said G/H.

If it's G/H, the Quiet one 1200 is much stronger than Eheim 1250

ya... my quiet1 1200 is 1200l/h. i need 1200 flow rate and i made a mistake. i should have consider the head loss. which mean, after about a 1m hight, my flow rate is under 1000l/hr. that why i need at least 2000l/h flow rate. i choose to use german pump because i don't have to worry stupid me is that i shouldn't sold away my old 1260 earlier cos i can use it now waste $$$ to get a right pump. learnt my lesson

Me planning to get Quiet One 3000 = 3000+ LPH.

From the website, i think the max head drive or something is 11ft.

I think it sould be quite ok I hope

If it's not ok, I will need to invest in the 4000 and I will go

aiya...i didn't read your post earlier. i went down to clementi today. i saw they have one pieces left. it is 3000 but i didn't look at the price. it is cheaper than aquabee 3000 i guess.

There is a thread is buy/sell selling a 2nd hand for $100.

I think it's worth the deal

But which one is quieter? Aquabee or Quietone

If it's about the same or Aquabee is quieter, I would got for the Aquabee 3000 since it can be used internally and externally.

I also see that the Aquabee 3000 has a better height max of up to 4m.

For the Quietone, it's 11ft which is around 3m20cm.

I had already send an email to the seller but no reply as yet.

If the offer does not come to me, will probably get a 1st hand Quietone pump

Just have to live with the short 10cm Height max

I believe that both brands are reputable

i already got hold of the aquabee pump (aquabee 2000 with 18w, max ht 1.7m. me don't need to get the higher max ht cos i will be using it to feed my needlewheel skimmer - outsump type). but i am very lazy to collect the pump. got to collect it soon... getting lazy now a day. but my passion for reefing has not die
