Beside doing periodical change of water, what are the minimum additive should be added in order to maintain the water at tip top condition?

Must the beneficial bacteria must be added periodically?

bacteria plays an important role in maintaining your water condition.

other then that..trace elements should be replenish every 2-3 days if it is a reef tank. trace elements will be depleted if you have large number of corals.

supplements like strontium, magnesium and calcium must be taken care off too..

n dun forget iodide..which is essential for softies...

my 2 cents.. :D

Thanks for the advise, just wonder if there any product in the market carried most of the additive mentioned (so do not need to disturb the tank so often) or must buy individual type?

:D

Just start the tank with 2 damsel, 1 clown fish, 1 turbo snail and an anemone. Intend to get more coral that need less maintance works.

Just got aquaphxxx's trace element and notice that the content include calcium, magnesium, iodide, copper, zinc, manganese and potassium. Under the instruction, advise to use together with calcium, Iodide and strontium.

If this necessary, using all this will cause overdose?

;)
