atman chiller (CS-400CIRV)

power consumption = 340W

current = 1.3amp

refrigerate medium = R134a

dimensions = 15.9L" x 13.1H" x 11.8W"

titanium heat exchanger

i use it on my 3x2x2 tank with 3xT5 + 2xFL + MH250W + 2xseio pumps + 1x 6060 + chiller pump (quietone1200) to keep temp within 27 deg celcius (most of my other pumps run external)

it takes about 1 hour to cool down from 28-27 deg celcius when all my lights are switch on. when light off, it takes 1/2 run and keep my tank temp within 27 deg.

it runs with external thermostat for accurate temperature measurement :rolleyes:

the chiller's condenser coil is clean. used for 10 months. don't need to top-up gas cos there is no leak. confirm by the chiller serviceman when he helps me to fix the chiller external thermostat.

i only can let it go when my new chiller is coming in to support my 2xMH lights :P

i am selling it @$280 :lol:

Can it cool down a 4x2x2 tank at 26-27 degrees?

that's also depend the light that you use for your tank. if MH light, it may be overloaded if you want to keep within 26 deg. which mean the running time will be longer. this is my honest feel :P

i believe it can be used with max. 4ft tank with T5 lighting only. the recommand pump use at best is either aquabee 2000 (18W) or 2000I (38W) (my opinion) :P

for 3ft tank, at least 1xMH light will be just good enough :)

actually i thought of keeping this chiller as a spare or run as 2nd stand-by chiller... but i don't have space for it :erm:

anyway, my new chiller have a very good support. so, i don't need any stand-by chiller :P
