Skimmer not ozone proof

I believe so. The leakage of your CR should not have anything to do with the ozone....unless you connect your ozone into your CR, which doesn't make sense.

From what I read, ozone has a very short lifespan since it is very unstable. As soon as it meets a molecule, it will nuke the molecule and return to O2.

I use normal silicon glue to seal the leaking joints that might omit ozone. So far the ozone is unable to penetate the silicon glue. Your skimmer waste collector vent will omit left over ozone to any rubber or plastic near it. Allowing the vent gas to go through a layer of carbon will help reduce but wont eliminate it. Best is keep the area open to ventilation.
