Is this Ich?

Hi Guys,

Was wondering if you could tell me whether this is itch. The white 'spots' seem to be quite large, so I'm not really sure whether I'm treating the right thing, or whether it's just some discolouration.

The fish's appetite has not been affected, neither is it showing any signs of distress.

Thanks.

Dave

Firstly, if it does have ich then you're stressing it more by lifting it out of the water.

Question for you to answer.

1. When did you buy the PT?

2. QT before you add into the main tank?

3. Any new aggressive LS did you add to your tank?

4. Any new aggression between any of your LS and the PT?

All LS will have dis-colouration when in stress.

It doesn't look like ich to me. Rather it looks like your PT might either rub itself on the LR thus causing the mark or it was being scratch in the night when it was resting in the LR by unknown. (Most of the time - craps or hermits)
