Are angels ick magnet?

Dear All

I know that some tangs, especially the powder ones are very prone to ick.

I have a yellow, purple and scopas tang and the 3 of them are very fat and healthy, most importantly, ick free. But unfortunately, am not so successful with PBT and BT.

Regarding angels, are they ick magnets? I tried to keep a flame angel before but was down with ick and didn't make it past 1 week.

Anybody got experience with ick troubled angels? Or angels are not ick magnets at all? :blink:

Any difference between dwarf and large angels in terms of their immune system?

Thanks for the advice. From your names, you guys sound like you're angel craze.. :D

I intend to add 2 angels to my tank, need expert views from you guys on the type to buy... actually prefer to have bright red and blue colours..... got such angels? :D

Thanks for your response...

I got a bellus (don't know whether spelling correct or not..) angel few days back. It was eating normally but only till this morning to find out that it was attacked by ick :( Quite severe...

The strange thing is that all my other tank occupants are healthy and spotless....

Once again, I think that i will fail with angels this time again after I lost my flame angel weeks ago...

It keeps me wondering if dwarf angels are easy to keep or not.... :(

flame angel likes to explore caves & holes, they enjoy exploring the rockwork. Hv to create alot of hidding plc for them to explore. During the 1st day sure got aggression & fight among them. Usually for any angel, aggression will stop on the second day or a few days later. As long they can pull through, they will live harmony together. Once a while they will peck on each other, but nothing serious.

As long the angel is healthy and already feeding at lfs, they r able to withstand stress & aggression from other angels. Choose those healthy & feeding angel if you can. ;)

eversince that morning it kana ick, suddenly decided to hide in the LR and no appetite to eat at all...

after a few days lorry came and drove it away...... :ph34r:
