6 seio620 or 4 seio820

hello everybody!

i'm new here and i'm setting up my 180gal again for reef. which would give me enought circulation and low wattage for my 180 gal tank, would 6 pcs of seio620 or 4 pcs of seio820? these two models are the only seio pumps available here. electricity here in the philippines is becoming a burden on my pocket. hope you guys can help me out.

Four Seio820 should be enough, placement in the tank should also be

considered.Not enough if you're setting a SPS tank but enough for LPS.

Electricity bills is alwaya high if you're going into reefing cause you need

to run a Chiller, lightings, pumps etc.....

hehehehe. i'm looking for ways to minimize these expenses on electricity, that's why i'm always on the lookout for low wattage equipments.

I would advise you to go for 1 or 2 Tunze 6060 instead. 12W (or 15W?) per wavemaker but gives u 6000 l/h or flow, and much much better life-span. In Singapore, $$ for 3 Seio 820 = $ for 1 Tunze 6060.

the less electrical devices to be use, the safer we are. Unless the device is over your requirement.

SEIO 620 vs 820, not that much difference. I would go for 820.

tunze still the best.....by seio's impeller shaft broken in less then a year....tunze i hardly hear of complaints of it breaking down....

oh yeah, back to your original questions, 4 seio 820 should be enought for LPS tan k
