increasing algae production

hi,

I just switched over from a coral tank to a FOWLR tank. my first batch of angels live happily in the tank and grown accustomed to pellets. They have algae and small scrub as titbits.

I can see my "algae wall garden" is depleted as they pretty much clean it up. I am thinking of increasing my MH from the current 4 hours to 6 hours to increase production of algae ?

Anyone know what else can I feed them ? Do I hang cabbages or other veggie into tank ? I saw some one did that to their 6 feet.

I think my later batch of fish are starving without algae and they have not grown accustomed to pellets yet.

any ideas ?

you can try nori seaweed or just buy those red grapes ao calipera's and put them into your tank..The last time i bought a rock filled with calipera, my angelfish finished it in 3 days..Also it stimulates their natural diet!
