Yes the CO2 is for the Calcium Reactor.

I think CO2 is to work in tandem with the calcium reactor. whatever for, I don't know as chemically, CA will react with CO2 to give a form of Calcium Carbonate (CaCO2 or 3, can't remember. damn my chemistry!)

hmm. I don't know.

CO2 is bubbled in water to lower the ph enough to disolve the aragonite in the reactor
