for 2 ft, preferably no big fishes, typically basslets/gobies/clowns/chromis are the choice since they don't really grow to very big size

as for the number of fishes, personally i feel around 4-5 fishes will be the max for a standard 5plan 2 ft

of course, everything depends on the equipments used

hope it helps to a certain extent

to me there is no rule or thumb. Its all about type of equipment, dedication and time vs number of LSs.

Type of fishes, yes.. get those smaller kind.

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

I got ten fishes in my 2 feet tank...quite guilty :paiseh:

I help to increase the vol of water by having a 1.5 feet sump tank...

One thing u must note in such a small tank is to have all the fishes to be peaceful in character...

Gobies are fine... i kept one black nemo, 3 "gay" dartfishes (also commonly called as gobies) one tilefish, 1 scooter dragonnet.. 2 blue eye anthias, 1 cardinal and 1 shrimp goby. For yr info, in a small tank, even so call widely recognize friendly fish like tilefish may not be that friendly..as my tilefish will sometimes chase my dartfishes and even my cardinal... <_<

And i also paying the price of being so greedy keeping so many fishes... i got to dilligently change water weekly... using distilled water also... and besides fishes, i got 2 pearl bubbles and 1 frogspawn coral... tube anemone.. and so on... Now i got 5 tubeworms.. develop a worm craze lately..

gobies will be good eg. yashia, griesingeri

and also small shrimps...

get ride of crabs and boobits worms in your rocks otherwise your small fishes will dissappear one by one

a pair of true percula can be added as main attraction

Yeah it helps to have a focus LS. One that is larger in size and with spectacular colour. Or else, all your tiny LS will blend in too much. I am also looking for that "hero"... but will go slow as my tank is still settling.
